Terms of Service
The simple terms for using imposter-game.com.
Effective date: August 9, 2026
By using imposter-game.com (the “Site”) — including the online imposter game, the word generator, and the word bank — you agree to these terms. They’re meant to be short and fair. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Site.
What the Site is
imposter-game.com is a free, browser-based party game and set of supporting tools. There is no account and no purchase required. We offer it as-is for personal, non-commercial entertainment — playing with friends, at a party, in a classroom, or wherever people gather.
Acceptable use
- Play, generate words, and share seed links freely for your own group.
- Don’t attempt to disrupt, overload, scrape at scale, or reverse the Site in ways that break it for others.
- Don’t use the Site to harass others or to present its content as your own commercial product.
- Don’t remove or obscure advertising in a way that violates the terms of the ad networks we use.
Intellectual property
The Site’s design, code, and original word banks are ours. You may use and share generated word lists and printed cards for your own games. The imposter game is a well-known social deduction format played in many variations; we don’t claim ownership of the game concept itself, only of our specific implementation and content.
No affiliation
imposter-game.com is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the makers of Among Us, Spyfall, The Chameleon, or any other game we reference for comparison. Those names belong to their respective owners and are used only to describe how our party game differs.
No warranty
The Site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. We don’t promise it will always be available, error-free, or that a generated word pair will suit every group. Use your own judgment about which words are appropriate for your players.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site. It’s a party game — play responsibly and have fun.
Third-party links and ads
The Site may contain third-party advertising and links to other sites. We don’t control that content and aren’t responsible for it. See our Privacy Policy for how cookies and advertising work.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the Site evolves. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms; the effective date above will reflect the latest version.
